What is DiSC®
The DiSC assessments, published by Wiley, are validated non-judgmental learning tools used for discussion of people’s behavioral needs and differences. When you participate in a DiSC program, you will be asked to complete a series of questions that produce a detailed report about your personality and behavior- your style. You will also receive tips related to working with people with a variety of other DiSC styles.
DiSC tools provide personal and group-team awareness and connection to others for dialogue, collaboration, and teamwork.
How DiSC Assessments Work
DiSC profiles are simple to use for both the administrator and the respondent. While no certification is needed to deliver or score the DiSC assessments, it is recommended to maximize the full value of the learning. The DiSC profile is electronically scored for participants to take the assessment online. The EPIC platform is a robust, easy to use assessment management system which makes It easy to administer and track assessment and delivery of DiSC in your organization
What does DiSC Measure?
DiSC measures your tendencies and preferences — your patterns of behavior. It does not measure intelligence, competency, aptitude, mental health, or values. DiSC profiles describe human behavior in various situations. For example, the DiSC questionnaire asks about how you respond to challenges, how you influence others, how you respond to rules and procedures, and about your preferred pace of activity. It is not a psychometric instrument.
What happens when you take a DiSC Assessment?
When you have the opportunity of taking the DiSC profile you will have an access code for an online assessment. You answer a simple questionnaire – 15minutes- about your own behavior. Scoring is done electronically or by hand, depending on the profile format you choose. Scoring will produce a twenty -page report delivered directly to you. You will then be able to read about your unique behavioral style, your tendencies, needs, preferred environment and strategies for effective behaviors
